The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited Agro Farma in March 2012 for 34 safety and health violations after inspections by Syracuse-based investigators for the agency. Agro Farma is facing fines totaling $178,000.
In 2016 a US federal judge ordered Chobani to stop airing ads that implied rival products were "unsafe or harmful" and contained chemicals used to kill bugs or keep swimming pools clean.
