Sirena was established in Australia in 1956 by Carlo Valmorbida and his family. Distributed by Valcorp Fine Foods until 2015, when Iconic Food Distribution took over. Valcorp, Sirena and Iconic Food Distribution are all controlled by the Valmorbida family.

The Italian Valmorbida family have been building their Australian mini-empire since 1956. Today they own and operate food importers Conga Foods and Valcorp Fine Food, wine distributors red+white and Mezzanine The Fine Wine Specialist, and iconic Lygon St deli King & Godfree. They distributed Lavazza coffee in Australia for 30 years before Lavazza took back control in 2015.
