It enables customers to create, record, promote and share their originally created sounds. It had 175 million monthly users in 2016. It set up operations in Australia at the end of 2016. In 2017 global merchant bank The Raine Group and Singapore-headquartered investment company Temasek invested US$170 million, giving them over 50% ownership.
