In 2016 Royal Philips spun off its lighting division, creating Philips Lighting, the world's largest lighting company. In 2018 Philips Lighting changed its name to Signify, though their lights still use the Philips brand.

Carbon neutral
Signify achieved its goal of becoming carbon neutral in all of its operations across the world. From 2010 to 2020, Signify reduced its carbon footprint by more than 70% and transformed all of its global markets to carbon neutrality.
Signify shifted to 100% renewable electricity through two virtual power purchase agreements, one in Texas and one in Poland.
