Yowie was a Cadbury brand from 1995 until it was discontinued in 2005 following a dispute between Cadbury and the Yowie creators. In 2012 a new company, Yowie Group, was formed to relaunch the brand, first in USA from 2014, and then in Australia from 2017. Acquired Ernest Hillier from administration in 2023. In 2024 major shareholder Keybridge Capital took over the company.
