Fined $1.5m for Takeovers Code breach
In 2022 this company was ordered to pay a fine of NZ$1.5 million for breaching the Takeovers Code in 2013. The company admitted to non-deliberate breaches of the code in respect of a takeover offer to take it private in 2013. The Takeovers Panel received a complaint about the takeover in 2019 and investigated claims the offer did not treat all shareholders equally and that some disclosures were not made.
