Founded in 2008 when it absorbed the OEM business from ASUSTek Computer Inc. It then merged with Pegatron International Investment Co., Limited in June 2010 and listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Electronic and computing DMS (Design and Manufacturing Service) for computing devices, consumer electronics and communication devices. It is a manufacturing partner of Apple Inc and has factories in China, Mexico, the Czech Republic and Taiwan.

Criticism
Workers rights in China
This 2015 investigative report by China Labor Watch shows labour rights violations remain the norm in factories run by Pegatron. Violations include excessive working hours and low base wages. Apple shifted production orders from Foxconn to cheaper Pegatron in order to offset Foxconn's rising labor costs.
