Criticism

Fined $129k for false advertising

In 2023 the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) took action against Instant Brands, manufacturer of Pyrex-brand kitchen and home products, for falsely claiming that all its popular glass measuring cups were made in the United States during a time some measuring cups were imported from China. Instant Brands was ordered to take remedial actions and pay a $129,416 judgment.
