SPC was established in 1917 as the Shepparton Preserving Company, becoming SPC Ardmona in 2002 after merging with Ardmona. Coca-Cola Amatil bought the company in 2005, and sold it in June 2019 for $40 million to private equity backed Shepparton Partners Collective, a joint venture backed by Australian private equity firms Perma Funds Management and The Eights. Entered a joint venture with German global giant Dohler in 2020. Acquired PomLife and a majority stake in The Kuisine Company in 2020. Took on additional investors in 2022, including the sale and leaseback of the flagship SPC property in Shepparton to Charter Hall.
