In 1929 Boh Plantations was founded in Malasia by J.A. Russell, a British-born British-educated businessman during the British colonial era in Malaya. Today JA Russell & Co is still owned by the Russell family, who own 70% of Boh Plantation in Malaysia, and 100% of Nerada tea in Australia

Nerada Tea is grown in Queensland without the use of pesticides and is the largest tea producer in Australia. All their teas are packed in Australia - although the Fairtrade/Organic raw materials are sourced overseas.
