Huon, like its main competitor Tassal, operate salmon farms in the estuary at the mouth of the Huon River in Tasmania. Huon produces over 15,000 tonnes of Atlantic salmon and Ocean trout per year. Acquired by Brazilian meat giant, JBS, in 2021.

Private equity firm Affinity Equity Partners bought a 70% stake in Oct 2011, with Primo's founders, the Lederer family, holding the remaining 30%. Acquired by JBS, the world's largest processor of fresh meats in 2014.

Andrews Meat comprises of three key divisions: food service; value added - cooked; and export. Major supplier to the hospitality industry as well as health and aged care, education, aviation and sporting venues. Andrews Meat represents a variety of brands, a number of which are company owned. Sold a majority stake to JBS Australia in 2014.
